There are some exciting things happening in the LMS space. Instead of costly, inflexible, proprietary tools, there are now three developers providing affordable LMS add-ons for the WordPress Blog platform (wordpress.org developed sites on private domains, not the free wordpress.com domains)

I have a demo site running the wpcourseware for anyone that wants to play, but it’s likely the learndash system has the edge for bigger, more complex environments. However the new coursepress-pro has been getting rave reviews too. Here’s an article on Learndash vs Moodle, the other popular LMS option and a view from Chris Lema, a developer who reviews many WordPress add-ons.

p.s. We’ve a couple projects on the go in this area at present and looks like it will exceed all expectations.
